On October 12, 2022, Jianda.com learned from China Railway Harbin Bureau Group Co., LTD that the construction of the first station of the Harbin to Tieli section of the Harbin to Yichun high-speed railway has begun, marking the completion of the construction of the Haj high-speed railway, the northernmost high-speed railway under construction in China.

High-speed rail

Harbin high-speed railway is an extension line of Beijing-Harbin - Beijing-Hong Kong and Macao channel of China's eight vertical and eight horizontal high-speed railway network. It starts from Harbin City in Heilongjiang Province, passes through Suihua City, and ends in Yichun City. The main line has a total length of 318 kilometers, and the design speed is 250 kilometers per hour. There are 9 stations in Harbin, Harbin North, Hulan North, Xinglong West, Suihua South, Qing 'an South, Tieli, Riyuexia and Yichun West on the whole line of Hai-Yi high-speed Railway, among which 6 stations including Hulan North are new stations, Tieli station is rebuilt, and Harbin and Harbin North are existing stations.

The Hai-Yi high-speed railway is composed of Harbin to Tieili section and Tieili to Yichun section. The Tieili to Yichun section has been started in October 2021, and has created many records in the construction process. It is the country's high-speed railway with the highest latitude under construction, the largest annual temperature difference in the area where the whole line is located, and the first high-speed railway crossing the multi-year island-like frozen soil area. The main line from Harbin to Tiili section, which started construction this time, is 188 kilometers long and located in the high cold region. The geological structure along the line is complex, and there are many seasonal frozen soil, the maximum freezing depth is 2.39 meters. The sensitivity of frost heaving is high, the stability is poor, and the temperature change is easy to form frost heaving and thawing, which brings great difficulty to the construction of Bridges, roadbeds and station buildings. The new line Bridges account for 72% of the total line, and the bridge long-span continuous beam and girder engineering control the construction period of the whole line. Among them, the Hulan River Bridge has a total length of 16,709 meters, spanning the Hulan River, the first major tributary of the left bank of the middle reaches of the Songhua River, which is a full-line control project.
