On March 20, 2023, the spring intensive start-up activities of tourism projects sponsored by the Jilin Provincial People's Government were held simultaneously in various places in Jilin Province. The main venue of the event is located at the start-up site of the overall development project of Beidahu Tourist Resort in Jilin City, and interacts with each sub-venue via video connection. According to reports, 72 tourism projects have been intensively started this time, including 14 new projects and 58 continued projects, with a total investment of 108.3 billion yuan. The newly started projects focus on the two major brands of ice and snow industry and summer resort and leisure, covering various business formats such as ecology, health care, and digitalization. The overall investment scale is large, with 52 projects worth more than 100 million yuan, accounting for 72.2%; the planned investment amount is high, and the number of concentrated construction projects accounts for 45% of the planned construction projects in Jilin Province. The annual planned investment reaches 9.084 billion yuan, accounting for 2023. 62.5% of the total investment; covering a full range of products, including major projects leading the development of the ice and snow industry such as the expansion of Beidahu and Wanfeng Ski Resort, ecological summer tourism landmark projects such as the overall improvement of Chagan Lake and Nenjiang Bay, Changchun International Movie Metropolis, Urban cultural and tourism complex projects such as Changchun Jucheng, as well as new forestry and tourism integration projects such as Dunhua Liudingshan International Medical and Health Care Industrial Park and Changbai Mountain Forest Hot Spring Health Center. The projects are distributed in a wide range, and there are projects in Jilin Province. Among them, Changchun, Jilin, and Yanbian have 48 projects with a total investment of 85.655 billion yuan; Tonghua and Meihekou have started construction of 5 and 2 projects respectively, and the investment scale 15.75 billion yuan; 17 projects in Siping, Liaoyuan, Songyuan, Baicheng, Baishan, and Changbaishan, with an investment scale of over 6.9 billion yuan.

The relevant person in charge of the Jilin Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism stated that in 2022, the cultural and tourism industry in Jilin Province will fight the epidemic, stabilize the market, and promote recovery.
