On the morning of May 12, 2023, the 3rd Changsha International Construction Machinery Exhibition opened at the Changsha International Conference Center. Wan Gang, vice chairman of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of China Association for Science and Technology, announced the opening of the exhibition. Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the provincial party committee, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, and Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the provincial party committee and governor of the province, presided over the opening ceremony. Before the opening ceremony, Wan Gang, Shen Xiaoming, Mao Weiming and other leaders visited the exhibition hall in Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center.

The exhibition area is 300,000 square meters. There are 12 indoor pavilions, 7 outdoor exhibition areas and 23 themed areas. About 1,500 Chinese and foreign companies participated in the exhibition. Among them, 35 of the world's top 50 construction machinery companies participated in the exhibition, and they came from 60 countries. Nearly 2,000 international guests from missions in China, commercial organizations, enterprises in China, and international business associations attended the meeting.
