On June 7, 2023, at 17:12 local time in Zimbabwe, Gansu Energy Group successfully connected Unit 8 of the Wangji Power Station Phase III expansion project, which was responsible for operation and maintenance. The power station achieved simultaneous operation of two units for the first time, marking the beginning of a new process of project operation and maintenance work. Since the successful grid connection of Unit 7 on March 20th, the cumulative power generation of the power station has reached 319 million kilowatt hours so far.

Since entering the site, the Wangji operation and maintenance team has been proactive and proactive in planning, working closely with EPC and commissioning units, strictly implementing Chinese power standards and workflow, and carefully adjusting the parameters of various system equipment to the design values for operation. Fully cooperate with the owner and EPC unit to carry out various tests on Unit 7 and Unit 8, and complete key node tasks such as the first grid connection of the two units, 168 hour full load operation test of Unit 7, RB action test, FCB island operation test, etc. with high quality and standards, ensuring the safety and stability of the unit during trial operation.
