China Wuyi signs a contract for the Tanzania Highway Project

Recently, China Wuyi Tanzania Branch signed a contract with the Tanzania Highway Authority for the Mniwata Mitisa 100 kilometer highway project. Several government officials, including Makame Mbarawa, Minister of Engineering, Transport, and Communications of Tanzania, Mohamed Costa, Director of the Tanzania Highway Authority, and the head of the Presidential Office, attended the event, with thousands of local residents participating.

Project roadmap

The project section is an important part of connecting the border port city of Mtwara to the inland city of Masasi. The project is funded by the African Development Bank, starting from Mniwata Town and ending in Mitisa Town, with a total length of 100 kilometers. The contract period is 3 years, with a total contract amount of approximately 510 million yuan and a warranty period of 365 days. The completion of the project will shorten the distance between inland cities and Mtwara Port, accelerate the efficiency of cargo transportation, facilitate the travel and trade of residents, and further promote the development of local agriculture and tourism.

Poly Group Signed Contract for Sri Lanka Sugar Factory Project

Recently, Poly Group's subsidiary, China Haicheng Guangzhou Company, held a contract signing ceremony with China Aviation Technology International Engineering Co., Ltd. and Galoya Agricultural Plantation Company for the expansion of the new sugar line and equipment supply project at the Galoya Sugar Factory in Sri Lanka. After the completion of the project, it will help sugar mills increase production capacity, reduce energy consumption, and provide important support for Sri Lanka to reduce sugar imports and accelerate economic and social development.

Sri Lanka is an important strategic fulcrum of China's the Belt and Road Initiative, and also one of the most important countries for China Haicheng to layout overseas markets. The local Galoya Sugar Factory is one of the sugar factories in Sri Lanka with the best operating conditions at present. China Haicheng Guangzhou Company has a long history and profound foundation in the sugar industry. It has presided over the first batch of domestic and foreign sugar factories designed, manufactured, and installed independently in China, and participated in the construction of most sugar factories after the establishment of the People's Republic of China, witnessing the beginning and development of China's sugar industry.
