Chinese bracket system supplier Antaisolar has signed a contract with engineering, procurement, and construction contractor Enter Engineering to provide a 470MWp solar tracking system for a project in Uzbekistan.
Antai Solar stated that the project is expected to be completed in December 2023, using its rotary drive single axis 1P independent tracking system TAI-Simple, which claims to increase power generation by 18.5-24%.
The tracker can also be combined with large double-sided modules and perform large tracking angles to improve power generation efficiency and reduce operating costs.
Uzbekistan plans to increase the proportion of renewable energy generation to 25% by 2026 and has been continuously improving its renewable energy generation capacity. In May of this year, Masdar, a state-owned renewable energy developer in the United Arab Emirates, signed a joint development agreement with the Uzbek government to develop over 2GW of solar and wind energy projects.Editor/XingWentao
