On April 17, 2020, with the rumbling of construction machinery, a high-speed rail project that led to increased passenger traffic in the scenic spot embarked on the construction journey, and the construction of the Yihuang section of the Chihuang high-speed railway began.

The Chihuang High Speed Railway runs from Chizhou Station to Huangshan North Station with a total length of 125.1 kilometers and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The total investment of Chizhou Station, Jiuhuashan Station, Huangshan West Station, Yixian East Station, and Huangshan North Station is estimated to be 18.37 billion yuan. The situation reserves the conditions for the construction of straight-through lines.

It is understood that the starting point of the Chihuang Railway is Chizhou Station and the end point is to Yixian East Station. The total length of the main line in Huangshan City is about 125.1 kilometers and the design speed is 350km / h. Among them, Yixian County is 25 kilometers long and has 10 tunnels. Nine bridges have a total construction period of 4.5 years and are expected to be opened to traffic in 2024.

The construction of this project has laid a good foundation for the development of Huangshan Scenic Area, mobilized the activity of surrounding related industries, improved the travel environment for tourists, and played an important role in the long-term development of the scenic area. After the opening of the high-speed rail, a large number of tourists will enter Huangshan through the railway, which will have a positive effect on the development of the tourist gathering areas such as the north gate of Huangshan and the west gate of Huangshan, and also have a positive impact on the promotion of tourism, culture and economy in Huangshan District.
