Ningxia Shared Energy Storage Project Starts

On March 6, 2024, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Three Gorges Energy Ningxia Jingyuan County Shared Energy Storage Project was grandly held in Liupan Village, Dawan Township, Jingyuan County, Ningxia. After the completion of this project, it will strongly promote local green development and energy transformation.

The Three Gorges Energy Ningxia Jingyuan County Shared Energy Storage Power Station Project is located on the northwest side of Liupan Village, Dawan Township, Jingyuan County, Guyuan City, Ningxia, with beautiful scenery. It is adjacent to the China Energy Construction Energy Storage Power Station, with a superior geographical location and convenient transportation. The total planned investment for this project is as high as 460 million yuan, and it will be constructed in two phases to ensure the steady progress and efficient implementation of the project.

The first phase of construction will focus on improving energy storage capacity, with the goal of building a power station with a storage capacity of 100MW/200MWh to meet the energy needs of the local and surrounding areas. At the same time, the project also plans to expand to 200MW/400MWh in the long term to cope with the growth of future energy demand.

In terms of battery selection, the project adopts advanced lithium iron phosphate battery technology, which has the characteristics of high energy density, long cycle life, and safety and reliability, and can meet the energy storage needs of the project. In addition, the project also plans to configure 30 prefabricated modular energy storage units with a capacity of 3.35MW/6.709MWh. These units will be connected to the newly built 110kV booster station through four 35kV power lines to ensure the efficient and stable operation of the power station.

In order to ensure the smooth connection of the power station to the power grid, the project also plans to construct a 110kV line to connect to the Lvyuan 330KV substation, thereby achieving interconnection between the power station and the power grid. This measure will greatly enhance the power supply capacity and reliability of the power station, providing strong energy security for the local economic and social development.

The project will be completed and put into operation by the end of June 2024. The annual sales of electricity by the power station will reach over 10 million kilowatt hours, bringing considerable tax revenue to the local area, and it is expected to achieve tax revenue of about 3 million yuan. This will not only strongly promote local economic development, but also provide more employment opportunities and sources of income for local residents.

The construction of the Three Gorges Energy Shared Energy Storage Project in Jingyuan County, Ningxia will not only help promote the development of the new energy industry, but also inject new impetus into the local green development and energy transformation.
