On March 6, the Three Gorges Energy Ningxia Jingyuan County shared energy storage project started in Liupan village, Dawan Township. The project is located in the northwest of Liupan Village, Dawan Township, Jingyuan County, Guyuan City, Ningxia, near the energy storage power station, the planned total investment of 460 million yuan, construction in two phases. The energy storage capacity of the first phase of construction is 100MW/200MWh, and the long-term expansion is planned to be 200MW/400MWh. The electrochemical energy storage battery type is lithium iron phosphate battery, and 30 3.35MW/6.709MWh prefabricated storage units are planned to be configured. The new 110kV booster station is to be connected through four 35kV collector lines, and the 330KV substation in Lvyuan is to be connected through one 110kV line.

The project is planned to be completed and put into operation by the end of June 2024. After the completion of the project, the annual sales of electricity will reach more than 10 million KWH, and the tax revenue will reach about 3 million yuan, which will provide strong support for improving the new power system of Guyuan City, relieving the peak load pressure of the power grid, and providing strong support for the green and low-carbon energy transformation and ensuring the safe and stable operation of the power grid.

In June 2021, Three Gorges Energy was officially listed on the main board of the Shanghai Stock Market, setting a record for the largest IPO in the history of the domestic power industry. By the end of 2023, the Three Gorges Energy business has covered 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities across the country, with a total installed capacity of more than 40 million kilowatts, total assets of more than 310 billion yuan, and profitability ranking among the forefront of the domestic industry.

At the presentation of the performance of Three Gorges Energy in 2022 and the first quarter of 2023, Three Gorges Energy said that the total installed capacity of independent energy storage projects held by Three Gorges Energy in 2022 reached 100,000 kilowatts; The planned installed capacity of newly approved/filed independent energy storage projects is 90.10 million kilowatts.
