On March 6, China Energy Construction and Power Engineering held the Research and design coordination meeting of Chongzuo Ningming pumped storage Power Station in Nanning, Guangxi, to study the preliminary work results of the research and design of Ningming pumped storage power station and focus on the deployment of the next stage of work tasks. The meeting was chaired by Chen Jiping, general manager of CLP Engineering and deputy secretary of the Party Committee.

Chen Jiping pointed out that pumped storage power stations, as the most technologically mature, economically optimal and most large-scale development conditions of the power system, flexibly adjust the power supply, which is of great significance to help achieve the "double carbon" goal. In the past two years, CLP Engineering overall planning, the full participation of all units, improve the organizational structure, increase resource investment, pumped storage power plant business development achievements, CLP engineering pumped storage power plant investment, development and survey design consulting performance continues to rise.

Chen Jiping stressed that Ningming pumped storage power station is the key investment energy project to implement the new power system investor strategy of CLP Engineering, to follow the national policy guidance, study and judge the development direction of the industry, take the initiative to grasp the market window, and fully promote the project. In the process of project promotion, it is necessary to give full play to the operational advantages of the Group, efficiently integrate the advantageous resources of the Group, strengthen the system construction, and improve the working mechanism. The units involved in the project should keep an eye on the time node, perform their duties, strengthen work coordination and service guarantee, actively connect with governments at all levels and cooperative units, steadily promote the preliminary work of Ningming pumped storage power station, improve the procedures, and ensure that the project is approved early, started early, built early, and put into operation early. At the same time, it is necessary to improve safety awareness, always build a strong production safety, to ensure the safety of site construction.
