On March 21, He Yadong, spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, stated at a regular press conference that since applying to join the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), China has communicated and negotiated with all members in accordance with the accession procedures.

The Chinese side has conducted sufficient, comprehensive, and in-depth research and evaluation on the content of the agreement, actively benchmarking the CPTPP rules to promote policy adjustments and legislative amendments in related fields, and preparing for market access bids in areas such as goods trade, service trade, and investment. The Chinese side has full confidence and the ability to meet the high standards of the agreement. At the same time, China actively connects with international high standard economic and trade rules, actively carries out reforms and pilot projects in related fields, and has achieved good results.
