At the meeting, CNOOC's Deputy General Manager Yuan Bo and Chairman Andrei Poroskun respectively signed the EPC contract for the Usek River Cascade Hydropower Station project in Kazakhstan on behalf of both parties.
Project Introduction
The Usek River cascade hydropower project in Kazakhstan is an important energy project with a total installed capacity of 44 megawatts, consisting of four cascade hydropower stations. The project is located in the Panfilovsk District of Almaty Oblast, Kazakhstan, with a total length of 14.6 kilometers and a height difference of 240 meters.
As a key livelihood project in the local area, once completed, this power station will greatly alleviate the water pressure on local production and life, and effectively improve the quality of life of the local people. At the same time, it will also lay a solid foundation for the low-carbon and green transformation of Kazakhstan's energy industry, promote the optimization and upgrading of the country's energy structure, and achieve sustainable development.
