On April 7, 2024, Dongfang Electric Wind Power Co., Ltd. successfully won the bid for JSTEEL Yumen Hongliuquan Phase II 400MW wind power project.

Jsteel Yumen Hongliuquan Phase II 400MW wind power project belongs to Hongliuquan Fengguang Storage Comprehensive energy Demonstration Base, located in Yumen City, Jiuquan City, Gansu Province, is one of the first large-scale wind power photovoltaic base construction projects. It is planned to install 64 or 80 wind turbines with a single capacity of 6.25MW and 5MW respectively, and after the completion of the project, the annual power generation can reach 1.206 billion KWH, saving 386,000 tons of standard coal and reducing 1.146 million tons of carbon dioxide.

The project plans to install 64 DEW-H6250-200 semi-direct drive wind turbines. The unit is the third generation semi-direct drive model independently developed by Dongfang Wind Power, using a new generator and gearbox integration technology, more compact structure, lighter weight, higher efficiency, with high reliability, easy maintenance and other features. The unit fully integrates the advantages of the two technical routes of doubly-fed and direct drive, as well as the high stability of direct drive and the high economic advantages of doubly-fed.

This bid marks the first chapter of cooperation between Dongfang Wind Power and JISCO Group in the field of new energy. The two sides will work together to build a new energy consumption demonstration project in Jiuquan area, and jointly promote the development and application of green energy.
