The Republic of South Sudan is located in northeastern Africa, characterized by a tropical grassland climate that maintains high temperatures year-round. The Jul River, as a seasonal river in southwestern South Sudan, is an old bridge built on it. It used to be a key channel for the transportation of humanitarian aid and was also a necessary route for local transportation and trade. However, due to the erosion of time and lack of maintenance, the old bridge body suffered serious damage, causing great difficulties for the local people's passage. Therefore, building a new bridge has always been a deep expectation of the local government and people.

As an important part of facility connectivity, one of the eight major actions of China Africa cooperation, China's assistance to South Sudan's Zhur River Bridge Project was started in January 2021, which is a concrete practice of China and South Africa in jointly building the the Belt and Road and a community with a shared future for mankind in high quality. The project is located in Wau, the second largest city in South Sudan. A new bridge with a length of 240 meters and connecting lines on both sides of the bridge will have a total length of 1480 meters. After completion, it will become an artery to ensure the supply of local living materials.

Hua'an Testing Group Co., Ltd., as the pile foundation testing unit for the aid project of the Zhu'er River Bridge in South Sudan, is responsible for testing the quality of the bridge's pile foundation. In February 2022, construction quality inspectors arrived in Wawu. The inspection personnel overcame difficulties such as infrastructure, hygiene conditions, and climate conditions, and completed the pile foundation inspection task as scheduled. The quality of the bridge pile foundation met the design and construction requirements, effectively ensuring the smooth progress of the project's next construction step.
