This vast planning area concentrates rich aquatic seed industry resources, mainly distributed along the fishery development zone along the coastline where mariculture is concentrated, covering Gancheng Town, Xinlong Town, Basuo Town, Banqiao Town, Sigeng Town, Overseas Chinese Economic Zone and parts of Sanjia Town. At present, a number of provincial-level and above-level aquatic breeding farms have been established in the industrial park. The main products include vannamei, Penaeus monodon, grouper, golden pomfret and crocodile. These products occupy an important position in the domestic market. , especially the output of shrimp, marine fish and crocodile seeds, all rank at the forefront of the domestic market.

Wang Lei, director of the Dongfang City Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, said that during the establishment period of the industrial park, Dongfang City formulated six major tasks, including building an aquatic research and innovation platform, strengthening germplasm resource protection, upgrading fishery facilities and equipment, extending the leading industrial chain, and promoting green health Breeding and strengthening innovative service management mechanisms are aimed at promoting farmers to continue to increase their income. These projects will be implemented through the implementation of 23 key projects, of which the preliminary work of 16 projects has been completed or mature, and another 7 new projects are in progress.
