Recently, the results of the bidding candidates for the Hengkou Demonstration Zone Ganges and Yuehe River Basin Ecological Comprehensive Management Project (EPC general contracting), a comprehensive large-scale project with a total investment of nearly 6.9 billion yuan in Ankang City, Shaanxi Province, have been officially announced. This heavyweight project not only has a large scale and complex content, but also attracted many top domestic construction enterprises to participate in the competition. In the end, a consortium composed of China Gezhouba Group Road and Bridge Engineering Co., Ltd., China Power Engineering Consulting Group Northwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd., and Huashi Design Group Co., Ltd. successfully won the bid, with a price of about 6.864 billion yuan, becoming the first candidate for the project.

The project is located in Hengkou Demonstration Zone, Ankang, Shaanxi Province, with a planned total construction period of 1095 calendar days. It is a systematic engineering project that integrates water conservancy, transportation, municipal administration, environmental protection, and urban renewal. The governance scope covers the Ganges and Yuehe river basins, including ten major sub projects aimed at comprehensively improving the regional water system and related areas.

The specific construction content covers multiple aspects: in terms of watershed management, comprehensive water environment management will be carried out on the Moon River, with the construction of 27.2 kilometers of new embankments and the improvement of about 36 kilometers of tributary embankments; Synchronize the management of the Ganges River and renovate 25.6 kilometers of embankments. In terms of water conservancy facilities, the Ganges Reservoir ancillary water conveyance project will be constructed, including a 1.3-kilometer raw water conveyance tunnel and a total length of approximately 22 kilometers of clear water conveyance tunnel and pipeline.

Transportation construction is also a key focus. The project will build a 15 kilometer urban comprehensive pipe gallery and construct two important roads: one connecting Fuqiang Airport and the waterless port, with a length of about 9.89 kilometers; Another route connects Fuqiang Airport with National Highway 316 over Lingguan, with a total length of 9.29 kilometers.

In the field of urban renewal and environmental protection, the project includes the renovation of approximately 25.9 hectares of old neighborhoods on the north side of Yuehe River, involving the historical old streets of the Ming and Qing dynasties in Hengkou; On the south side of Yuehe River, a new road of 1541.644 meters will be built, and a wetland park with an area of approximately 97.43 acres will be constructed. In addition, the old drainage network in the northern area will be updated, a new construction waste resource utilization landfill with a storage capacity of 600000 cubic meters and a daily processing capacity of 200 tons will be built, and 7.164 kilometers of roads in the industrial concentration area will be improved.

This bidding adopts the EPC general contracting mode, and the winning bidder will undertake the entire process of services from survey and design, construction procurement to completion acceptance, and handover warranty. The competition is quite fierce, and the top three candidates have similar bids: the second candidate, Anhui Construction Engineering Water Resources Development Investment Group Co., Ltd., has a consortium bid of about 6.888 billion yuan, and the third candidate, Shaanxi Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd., has a consortium bid of about 6.824 billion yuan.
