Shanxi Provincial Water Resources Department recently held a financing promotion meeting for key water conservancy projects, promoting 154 projects such as water supply security, flood control capacity improvement, irrigation area renewal and supporting renovation, water ecological protection and restoration, with a total investment of 54.2 billion yuan and financing demand of 21.9 billion yuan.

At the promotion meeting, Shanxi Provincial Water Resources Department, municipal Water resources (Water) Bureau, Wanjiazhai Water Holding Group Co., Ltd. and China Development Bank, Agricultural Development Bank of China and other financial institutions face to face exchanges, further strengthen the cooperation between government, bank and enterprise, expand the channels of water investment and financing, and help the province's key water conservancy projects to accelerate the implementation.

In 2023, the Shanxi Provincial Water Resources Department jointly with a number of financial institutions issued implementation opinions on financial support for water conservancy, and the proportion of local government bonds, bank loans, enterprise and social capital investment in the province's water conservancy construction investment increased significantly, and the effect of "two hands" continued to appear. It is understood that the Water resources Department of Shanxi Province will continue to deepen the reform of water conservancy investment and financing, further strengthen the strategic cooperation with financial institutions, and actively build a diversified, multi-level and multi-channel water conservancy investment and financing system to provide a strong financial guarantee for water control and water development.
