China's first Sha Ge Huang large base external transmission ultra-high voltage direct current project. The 800 kV ultra-high voltage direct current transmission project from Ningxia to Hunan is not only a major breakthrough in the field of power transmission, but also a landmark project for China's new energy development and utilization, as well as the optimization of resource allocation in the east and west.

The project is located in six provinces: Ningxia, Gansu, Shaanxi, Chongqing, Hubei, and Hunan. Ningxia Power Transmission and Transformation Engineering Co., Ltd. has undertaken more than 50% of the tower foundation construction for the Ning1 section of the Ningdian Hunan transmission line project. It is expected to complete the foundation construction of this section by the end of June this year. The Xiang-1 section of the Ningxia to Hunan ± 800 kV ultra-high voltage direct current transmission line project, constructed and managed by State Grid Hunan Electric Power Co., Ltd., has also successfully completed the first section of the entire line's overhead line construction, marking the successful completion of the overhead line construction task of the key project of crossing the west to east power transmission. We also adopted new technologies such as crimping traction pipes and visualized grounding wire deployment to ensure smooth implementation of crossing construction and controllable safety risks. Next, we will continue to increase the guarantee of project elements, strengthen engineering construction scheduling, effectively and orderly promote engineering construction, and ensure that the project is put into operation on schedule.

This project spans vast regions and efficiently and stably delivers the abundant clean energy such as solar and wind energy from Ningxia to regions with high energy demand such as Hunan through ultra-high voltage direct current transmission technology, achieving optimized energy allocation and complementarity. It not only effectively alleviates the power supply pressure in Hunan and other regions, but also promotes the rapid development of new energy industries in western regions such as Ningxia.
