On April 25, 2024, the first batch of 250,000 kilowatt power generation units of the Charlie "Photovoltaic + N" project in Aba County, Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province were officially connected to the grid for power generation. This project is the first million-kilowatt photovoltaic power generation project invested and constructed by China Three Gorges Corporation in Sichuan. It is currently the largest photovoltaic power generation project connected to the grid by China Three Gorges Corporation in an area above 3,500 meters above sea level.

The Charlie "Photovoltaic + N" project is invested and constructed by China Three Gorges Group Sichuan Energy Investment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Three Gorges Sichuan Energy Investment"). The total installed capacity is 1.1 million kilowatts and is constructed in two phases. The first phase has an installed capacity of 250,000 kilowatts. It adopts a centralized power generation model with a total investment of approximately 1.3 billion yuan.

After the first phase of the project is put into operation, it can generate about 456 million kilowatt-hours of electricity every year, which is equivalent to saving about 137,300 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 377,100 tons.
