On May 9, 2024, the Kolonway photovoltaic equipment manufacturing project started in Zhixi Town, Jintan District, Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. With a total investment of 1 billion yuan, the project plans to build 200 production lines of wet cleaning and velvet making equipment. After the project is completed, nearly 1,300 photovoltaic equipment of various types can be produced every year.

Since 2023, with the rise of the expansion tide of photovoltaic manufacturing industry, and the large market demand brought about by the iteration of superimposed technology, the photovoltaic equipment manufacturing industry has become the largest beneficiary in the past two years. The Klonwei photovoltaic equipment manufacturing project, the manufacture of wet cleaning velvet equipment, mainly used for monocrystalline silicon solar cells with silicon wafer suede corrosion and cleaning treatment.

The project investor, Guangdong Kolongwei Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. was founded in 2003, located in Liaobu Town, Dongguan City, the company now has wholly-owned subsidiaries: Changzhou Kolongwei, Guangzhou Kolongwei and Yancheng Kolongwei, the group employs more than 2300 people. The company's operating space is 100,000 square meters.

As a national high-tech enterprise, Klonwei is a high-end intelligent manufacturing equipment enterprise integrating mechanical design, electrical development, software algorithm development and precision manufacturing assembly. Its core products are complete sets of photovoltaic cell screen printing production line equipment, and it has a number of core independent intellectual property rights in machine vision, temperature control technology and motion control.
