On May 5, 2024, the Zhangye pumped storage power Station project in Gansu Province held the unveiling ceremony and the mobilization meeting for the comprehensive construction of C2 standard of civil and metal structure installation project. Changdian (Zhangye) energy general manager Wang Yonghua, Three Gorges technology economy Gansu Zhangye pumped storage power station supervision director Chen Xuewan, Power Construction Group Northwest Survey and design Institute design representative Gu Zhilang, branch Party secretary Liu Bing, deputy director and project manager Hu Yanjun more than 50 people attended the Zhangye pumped storage power station related activities.

The production and living camp started construction on March 26, and after 36 days of hard work, the relocation was successfully completed on May 2, marking the complete completion of the preparatory work of the project and opening a new prelude to the full launch of the project.

Gansu Zhangye pumped storage power Station, as a key project of the national pumped storage medium and long-term development plan during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, not only actively responded to the call of the country to achieve the "double carbon" goal, but also the first landmark project of the Southwest Branch in the field of pumped storage. The construction of the power station plays an important role in promoting the optimization of energy structure, the enhancement of power grid stability and the safe and stable operation of the Hexi Corridor clean energy base in Gansu Province. The successful implementation of this project will provide a solid energy guarantee for the sustainable development of Gansu Province and even the whole region.
