On May 9, 2024, the power company of the Second Bureau of China Railway held a grand commencement ceremony of the Guangxi Xilin Agricultural light complementary photovoltaic power generation project, and the activities were grandly carried out in the scenic Xilin County Guyan Town.

The total investment of the project is nearly 500 million yuan, and the planned land area is about 8,000 mu, aiming to achieve a win-win situation between clean energy and agricultural production. The project was undertaken by China Railway No.2 Bureau Electrical Company and China Railway Electrification Survey, Design and Research Institute Co., LTD., demonstrating the strong strength and technical advantages of these two companies in the field of new energy. The photovoltaic field area of the project will be collected to the 220kV boost station of Xinjie through 13 35kV collector lines to achieve stable output and efficient utilization of electric energy.

After the completion of the project, it is expected that about 296.69 million KWH of clean energy can be stably transported to the regional power grid every year, which will not only significantly improve the energy development structure of Xillin County, optimize energy supply, but also significantly reduce energy consumption and environmental pollution. It will be able to reduce the consumption of about 90,000 tons of standard coal per year, while reducing the emission of various toxic and harmful gases, which is expected to reduce the emission of more than 300,000 tons.

The combination of photovoltaic power generation and agricultural planting not only makes full use of land resources, but also reduces the negative impact of photovoltaic facilities on the environment.
