On May 9, 2024, China Energy Construction Gezhouba Group and State Grid Xinyuan Group successfully signed the construction contract of Liaoning Xingcheng Pumped storage Power Station reservoir project. Xingcheng Pumped Storage Power Station is a key project in the 14th Five-Year Plan of Liaoning Province. It is located in Xingcheng City, Huludao City. With an installed capacity of 1200MW, the project is a first-class (1) project. The contract covers the core construction of the upper reservoir, lower reservoir, water inlet/outlet, some traffic works (including temporary roads), metal structure installation, as well as soil and water conservation and environmental protection works, with an estimated total construction period of 2,282 days.
