Recently, four new gantry cranes successfully completed the landing final assembly at Gulei North 1# and North 2# terminals. These four "King Kong" will inject new production power into Gulei Port area to further enhance logistics service capabilities.

These four door machines, wearing a striking orange coat, not only the appearance of beautiful, in the loading and unloading function also shows a strong strength. Each door machine is divided into two parts, including a moving base and an operating platform, and is also equipped with a variety of lifting hooks, grabs and other spreader, flexible and safe operation. Two of them, each weighing about 675 tons, can lift 50 tons of goods at a time within 38 meters; The other two door engines can lift 40 tons at a time in the same range. These doors will become the main force of coal, wood chips, ore and other bulk cargo handling, but also can take into account the container, heavy equipment, ton bags and other general cargo handling needs.

For nearly a month, the Zhangzhou maritime Department actively acted and took the initiative to serve in the front, overcome the influence of bad weather such as strong winds and rain in the area, took multiple measures to provide safety protection, and successfully completed the final assembly and commissioning of four door machines unloaded from the ship.

It is reported that Gulei North 1#, North 2# wharf is located in the west of Gulei Peninsula, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, is a provincial key project, construction began at the end of 2017, has built two 50,000-ton multi-purpose berths, a 5000-ton multi-purpose berth, but also supporting tug and work boat berths, will greatly improve the cargo handling capacity and emergency support capacity of Gulei port area. According to the plan, Gulei North 1#, North 2# terminal will be officially put into operation in July 2024, can berth 5,000 to 40,000 tons of general cargo ships, 10,000 to 50,000 tons of container ships, 50,000 tons of bulk carriers, designed annual throughput of up to 4.9 million tons, including 4.3 million tons of bulk groceries and 60,000 TEU containers.
