The China Xi'an Kazakhstan Terminal Project is located in the existing freight yard on the south side of Almaty II Station in Kazakhstan, covering a total area of 9.8 hectares, covering comprehensive warehouses, container yards, railway operation lines, container yards and supporting facilities such as buildings. Among them, the logistics station and yard area is about 92,000 square meters, the annual design logistics capacity is about 115,000 TEUs, equipped with 1.2 kilometers of railway loading and unloading lines, and has a "1100+" TEU storage capacity, which can meet the needs of large-scale commerce and logistics, and will become a new fulcrum of China-Kazakhstan international logistics and transportation.
On the basis of demolishing the original 8 railway loading and unloading lines, 4,500 square meters of production and living houses, 6 gantry cranes and supporting pipelines, the project team built a new steel structure warehouse of 23,400 square meters, a commercial vehicle parking area of 8,700 square meters, a container stacking area of 9,000 square meters, and simultaneously improved the container loading and unloading area of 8,700 square meters. There are 1.7 kilometers of roads, 1.2 kilometers of railway loading and unloading lines renovated, and 2,300 square meters of supporting rooms are built to meet the needs of modern logistics.

In terms of design, the project team efficiently completed the conversion of design and technical standards by sub-specialty, batch-by-batch, and met the construction requirements to the greatest extent. In terms of construction, the project team actively practices the concept of lean construction and creates high-quality projects and benchmark projects. As an ultra-dangerous project, the steel structure grid installation of the project has a maximum weight of 228 tons and a maximum span of 80.4 meters, and the safety and accuracy are not allowed to deviate at all.
The project team innovatively adopted the overall synchronous jacking method, used the BIM model to determine the coordinates and elevations of key nodes, controlled the installation accuracy within 3 mm, and used the Chinese solution to empower the construction of overseas projects, and finally completed the construction task with high quality and efficiency in 88 days, writing a vivid footnote for the "China Speed" with practical actions.

After the completion and commissioning of the China-Xi'an Kazakhstan terminal, the Xi'an Port Central Asia freight train will be the main support, taking into account the local container volume, which can promote the rapid distribution and distribution of China's import and export Kazakhstan goods in Almaty, promote the interconnection of international trade "single window", help Xi'an and Almaty to realize the channel upgrade from "point-to-point" to "hub-to-hub", and realize the "two-way travel" of the two major hub cities of China and Kazakhstan along the Belt and Road. With 800 "Chang'an" trains per year and an annual cargo throughput of 700,000 tons, the terminal will become the largest international logistics hub in Kazakhstan.
