On June 10, 2024, the Julino Hydropower Project in Tanzania has made important progress. Its Unit 8 has successfully completed its first grid-connected power generation and successfully achieved 100% load shedding in the first attempt. This is the second unit of the project that has been successfully connected to the grid after the first unit was connected to the grid at the beginning of this year, marking the smooth progress of the project and adding new impetus to Tanzania's energy supply.
The Julino Hydropower Station is located in the lower reaches of the Rufiji River in Tanzania. This magnificent project is equipped with 9 235MW mixed flow generators with a total installed capacity of 2115MW. As the largest hydropower station currently under construction in Tanzania, the completion of this project will have a profound impact on the energy structure of the national grid, greatly improving the safety and reliability of local power supply, and bringing greener and cleaner energy.
The project team firmly implements the leading strategy, bravely takes the lead, takes the annual goal as the guide, seizes the golden period of construction, and goes all out to ensure that the units are put into operation and generate electricity on schedule, contributing important forces to Tanzania's energy cause.Editor/Zhang Liyuan
