According to the news on June 13, 2024, Guizhou Huadian Group's Qianxi Huaxi Jiangshan water-wind complementary wind power project and Jinlan Daqing Slope water-wind complementary wind farm project have officially started construction. The move marks an important step in Guizhou's renewable energy utilization and clean energy development.

Guizhou Huadian launched the Jiangshan water-wind complementary wind power project in Qianxi Huaxi area, with a planned construction scale of 104.5MW and a total investment of 704 million yuan. The project will include a new 220kv booster station, which will be connected to the Suofengying power plant via a 4km transmission line to ensure the stable transmission and utilization of electricity.

Jinlan Daqing Slope water wind complementary wind farm project will also start, the project also has a construction scale of 104.5MW, the total investment is expected to be 577 million yuan. The project plans to build a 220 kv booster station and connect it to the Hongjiadu Power Plant through a 2 km line to achieve grid-connected transmission of electric energy. The launch of these two projects will further promote the development and application of clean energy in Guizhou.

The implementation of these two projects will greatly promote the popularization and application of clean energy in Guizhou and even the whole country. The total installed capacity of 209MW will significantly increase the supply of clean energy in the region, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and make a positive contribution to environmental protection and the fight against climate change.
