On June 26, 2025, China Huadian Overseas Investment Co., Ltd. signed an agreement with Indochina Wind Power in Cambodia for the Mondulkiri 150MW wind power project, marking a new stage of energy cooperation between China and Cambodia.

1、 The project signing ceremony was held in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province

Qiu Tiangen, Chairman of China Huadian Overseas Investment Co., Ltd., was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Energy Ministers' Meeting held in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, and attended the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement for the 150 MW wind power project in Mondulkiri, Cambodia.

This project is jointly developed by China Huadian Overseas Investment Co., Ltd. and Indochina Wind Power in Cambodia, and is one of the large-scale wind power projects currently planned in Cambodia. The project adopts advanced wind power generation technology and is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2027. Mr. Pheng Kimsrun, a consultant of IWP Company, and Mr. Hab Selay, the chairman, made a special trip to Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province to participate in an event and signed a cooperation agreement with China Huadian Group Hong Kong Limited Xigang Company.

2、 Deepen China Cambodia energy cooperation and promote green development together

Qiu Tiangen warmly welcomes the visits of Mr. Pheng Kimsrun and Mr. Hab Selay, and expresses gratitude for their friendly cooperation. He pointed out that China and Cambodia have good neighborly friendship and are connected by mountains and rivers, and the "Cambodia Steel" friendship has deeply rooted in people's hearts. The energy cooperation between China Huadian and Cambodia has been enduring for a long time. Since the commissioning of the Eresai and Xigang projects, they have provided stable energy security for Cambodia and fulfilled China Huadian's commitment.

Qiu Tiangen emphasized that the Mondulkiri project is the shortest overseas development project for China Huadian Overseas Investment Co., Ltd. He hopes to cooperate sincerely with IWP to further expand China Huadian's presence in the Cambodian electricity market and jointly promote Cambodia's energy development.

3、 Cambodia highly praises cooperation and looks forward to the early landing of the project

Mr. Pheng Kimsrun fully affirmed the strength of China Huadian in the field of power development. He stated that Cambodia's economy is developing rapidly, but there is still a gap in electricity supply. The Cambodian government has always adhered to the spirit of the contract, attached great importance to cooperation with Chinese enterprises, and is vigorously promoting the construction of power infrastructure, gradually achieving self-sufficiency in electricity. The Mondulkiri wind power project will help improve Cambodia's national energy system and enhance its power supply capacity.

Mr. Hab Selay stated that IWP will form a professional team to promote the rapid implementation of the project and ensure that it is put into operation on schedule.
