On June 16, 2024, 12 eye-catching new navigators appeared in the waters of Qinhuangdao City, the main function of these navigators is to demarcate and ensure the operation safety area for the first offshore photovoltaic pilot project in Hebei Province.
Changli Offshore Photovoltaic Project, as the first offshore photovoltaic project in Hebei Province, is also listed on the list of key construction projects in Hebei Province in 2024, with a total scale of 1,800MW. In order to ensure the navigation safety of the construction waters of the photovoltaic project, the Qinhuangdao Navigation AIDS Department, as the navigation AIDS management department in the region, has carefully planned and implemented the corresponding navigation AIDS distribution work according to relevant laws and regulations and detailed construction schemes. They installed 12 2.4-meter-high steel light buoys in the construction waters, as well as four beacons with physical AIS capabilities. The establishment of these beacons will effectively mark the construction area and provide clear navigation information for passing ships, thus greatly improving the navigation safety of the construction waters.
Zhang Chunjiang, chief of the navigation section of Qinhuangdao Navigation Department, explained in detail the situation of the navigation AIDS laid out in the sea area east of Changli County. He said the 12 2.4-meter-high steel light buoys are dedicated navigators whose main task is to mark specific waters and areas of offshore operations, such as military exercise areas, no-sail zones, aquatic operations areas and offshore wind farms. The main function of these beacons is to provide safety warnings to ensure smooth and safe maritime traffic.Editor/Zhang Liyuan
