In the dynamic and innovative field of Marine energy, Yangjiang Development and Reform Commission officially released the pre-approval publicity on the Mingyang Yangjiang 16.6MW floating offshore wind power demonstration project on June 19. This not only marks another important step in the development of new energy in Yangjiang City, but also indicates that China's floating offshore wind power technology will move to a new height.

The construction unit responsible for this project is Yangjiang Mingyang Yunhua Offshore Wind Power Development Co., LTD., which has been committed to the research and development and application of offshore wind power technology, and this project is a concentrated reflection of its technical strength. The construction site of the project is located in the Mingyang Yangjiang Qingzhousi offshore wind Farm site in the sea area south of Shaba Town, Yangxi County, Yangjiang City. The offshore distance of the center is about 67km, which fully considers the abundance of wind energy resources and the feasibility of the project implementation.

The main content of the project includes the installation of a 16.6MW dual-rotor floating prototype in the sea area of Qingzhousi offshore Wind Farm project in Mingyang River. The prototype, with a hub center height of approximately 113 meters, will use advanced floating fan technology and be based on a semi-submersible platform structure to ensure stable operation in a deep-sea environment. The water depth of the station is about 45 meters, and the offshore center is about 67km away, which enables the project to make full use of Marine wind energy resources and achieve efficient use of green energy.

The floating wind power prototype will be used as the end unit of the loop, and will be connected to the offshore booster station of Qingzhousi Offshore Wind Farm project of Mingyang Yang through 1 round 35kV voltage submarine cable, and then send electric energy through 220kV submarine cable. In order to save construction cost and time, the project will use the original delivery path to send out, and do not build a new offshore booster station, 220kV submarine cable and land centralized control center. This strategy not only reflects the economy and practicability of the project, but also shows the wisdom and experience of Yangjiang Mingyang Yunhua Offshore Wind Power Development Co., Ltd. in project management.

The implementation of the Mingyang Yangjiang 16.6MW floating offshore wind power demonstration project will provide important support for the development of floating offshore wind power technology in China, and will also inject new vitality into the economic development of Yangjiang City.
