QatarEnergy has signed a second long-term naphtha supply agreement with a Japanese company.
This state-owned natural gas producer will provide up to 9 million tons of naphtha to the refining and petrochemical company Eneos Corporation over a 10-year period starting from July 2024. Naphtha is a partially refined petroleum product commonly used as a solvent.
This agreement is the "largest and longest commitment" in the cooperation between the two companies in over a decade, but the value of this transaction has not been disclosed. Eneos Corporation is wholly owned by Eneos Holdings and is the largest refining and petrochemical company in Japan. It was established in 1888 under the name of Nippon Oil Company.
Earlier this month, Qatar Energy Company agreed to supply 6 million tons of naphtha to Idemitsu Kosan Company, a Japanese refining and petrochemical company, starting from July this year, over the next 10 years.
As one of the world's largest exporters of liquefied natural gas, Qatar announced a plan in February to increase liquefied natural gas production from its northern oil fields by 85% from the current 77 million tons per year to 142 million tons by 2030. Keywords: overseas engineering, international engineering construction, foreign engineering construction news.
Previously, the company planned to expand its scale to 1.26 million tons per year. (This article is from the official website of Jiandao: www.seetao. com.
