On July 16, 2024, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment officially issued an environmental impact statement on the construction project of 1GW perovskite solar cell modules and innovation Center of Pole-Electric Solar Energy New Energy Co., LTD. This approval marks the approval of the environmental protection department for the project in terms of environmental impact assessment and allows it to proceed to the next stage of implementation.

According to the approval, the company plans to build an annual output of 1GW perovskite solar module and innovation center project in Wuxi Xishan Economic and Technological Development Zone, the main project to build 2 perovskite solar cell production lines and innovation research and development center, supporting the construction of public works and environmental protection projects. After the completion of the project, the annual production capacity of 1GW perovskite solar modules will be formed.

Environmental protection factors were fully considered in the EIA process of the project, and a number of environmental protection measures were put forward, such as implementing the principle of cleaner production and the concept of circular economy in the whole process, and adopting advanced technology and equipment to reduce pollutant emissions.
