Recently, Dr. Lu Chuan, Chairman and President of Chint New Energy, met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara, the capital of Turkey. The two sides reached an agreement on Chint New Energy's investment in the construction of a solar cell factory in Turkey.

It is reported that the construction of this factory by Chint New Energy is an important part of Turkey's "High-Tech Incentive Program (HIT-30)".

This program was launched by the Turkish government in July 2024, aiming to attract international enterprises to invest in areas such as electric vehicles, semiconductors, batteries, and renewable energy, with a total target investment of $30 billion.

Previously, BYD had announced an investment of $1 billion to build an electric vehicle factory in Turkey, and Chint New Energy has become the only solar cell manufacturer in the country with 100% foreign capital control.

According to the agreement, Chint New Energy will build an advanced TOPCon battery production line and plans to export 80% of its production capacity.

Previously, Chint New Energy had already built a photovoltaic module factory in Turkey. Relying on Chint New Energy's global production experience this time, the newly built factory will establish a complete production chain, covering the manufacturing of battery cells and modules, thereby strengthening Turkey's industrial competitiveness in the field of renewable energy and also driving the development of related supporting industries.

In addition, in terms of talent cultivation, this project is expected to create a large number of high-tech jobs in Turkey. Through cooperation with local universities and scientific research institutions, it will cultivate professional talents in the field of new energy.
