Recently, PowerChina signed an EPC contract with the British photovoltaic power plant developer for the second phase of the Kahama 100 MW photovoltaic project in Tanzania.

The project is located in the south of Kahama City, Shinyanga Province, Tanzania. The main content includes 112.7 MW of solar photovoltaic installed capacity and 22 MW of energy storage facilities. After completion, the project will provide approximately 200 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity to Tanzania's national grid every year, providing important support for alleviating Tanzania's power shortage and promoting local economic and social development.

This project is the company’s secondary development based on the first phase of the Cahama Photovoltaic 10 MW project. The first phase of the project has assisted the owner to achieve financing closure and officially entered the contract performance stage. The signing of the second phase contract of this project demonstrates PowerChina's ability to promote third-party market cooperation in Tanzania, further consolidates and expands the company's influence in Tanzania's new energy market, and lays a solid foundation for the company to continue to deeply explore the Tanzania new energy market.
