On July 31, 2024, it marked an important transportation construction milestone in Yaozhou District of Tongchuan City, Shaanxi Province, and the construction of Tongchuan Station of Xiyanxian high-speed Railway was officially started. This station is located in Yaozhou District, Tongchuan City, close to Tongchuan city center in a straight line, only 2 kilometers away, with a large design scale, with 3 platforms and 7 arrival and departure lines, indicating the further upgrade and convenience of the regional transportation network in the future.

The ambitious blueprint of the station has been gradually turned into reality, with its cleverly designed station buildings covering a total area of 11,998.53 square meters, of which the steel structure occupies a significant space of 9,410 square meters. The layout of the building is clever, the above-ground part is partially designed for two floors, and the underground is cleverly integrated into the space of one floor, and is equipped with two 8-meter-wide entrance and exit tunnels to ensure the smooth flow of passengers. The main structure of the station building is solid and durable, constructed with reinforced concrete frame, while the roof adopts advanced space grid structure, which is both beautiful and practical. This design not only shows the virtuosity of modern architectural technology, but also indicates a new leap in Tongchuan's traffic facilities.

Tongchuan Station of Xiyan high-speed Railway, as a model of flat station building on the side of the line, is cleverly set on the west side of the main line and adopts the streamline mode of "flat in and out, down in and out", which greatly improves the travel efficiency and comfort of passengers. The interior layout of the station is reasonable, with a spacious and bright single-storey waiting hall in the middle, which can accommodate up to 1000 passengers waiting at the same time, and departure halls, equipment rooms and station management rooms are set up on both sides to ensure orderly operation of the station. Such a design not only meets the current and future period of passenger demand, but also injected new vitality and opportunities into the development of Tongchuan City.

In order to ensure that the construction of the station building meets high quality standards, the construction unit actively introduces the concept of environmental protection construction, and uses advanced environmental protection equipment such as static pile press and environmental compaction pile machine to perform compaction pile operation, effectively reducing the environmental impact during the construction process. In view of the key links in the construction, such as the accurate control of the depth of hole formation and the compaction degree of backfill, the project team implemented a strict monitoring mechanism, designated full-time personnel to closely monitor the whole process, real-time data collection and measurement, while regularly carrying out data analysis and evaluation, in order to ensure that the construction process is strictly implemented in accordance with the established standards, and promote the efficient and orderly development of the project.

The 299.8-kilometer, two-track high-speed railway with a designed speed of up to 350 km/h heralds a new era of high-speed transportation. Once the line is completed and operational, it will dramatically reduce the travel time between Xi 'an and Yan 'an from the current 2.5 hours to only about one hour, revolutionizing connectivity between the two places and the wider region.

The implementation of this project is not only an important acceleration of the construction of the Baohai high-speed railway channel, but also a key part of the optimization and improvement of the national high-speed railway network layout. It will significantly enhance Shaanxi's strategic position in the national transportation network, strengthen its core function as a transportation hub, and further highlight its location advantages.
