On August 28, 2024, Gansu Jinkai Lithium Energy Technology Co., Ltd. officially launched the construction of its first phase of the project with an annual output of 20,000 tons of iron phosphate and 20,000 tons of lithium iron phosphate, marking another important layout of the company in the field of new energy materials. The project is the first phase of the implementation of a large-scale comprehensive project with a total investment of 4.1 billion yuan and an area of about 350 acres in Yumen City.

The overall planning of the project is ambitious, aiming to build a complete industrial chain with an annual output of 15,000 tons of thermal phosphoric acid, 100,000 tons of iron phosphate, 100,000 tons of lithium iron phosphate cathode materials and 100,000 tons of hydrogen peroxide. The first phase of the project, with an investment scale of 1.5 billion yuan and an area of 158 acres, focuses on the construction of production lines for iron phosphate and lithium iron phosphate, and supports the construction of methanol cracking hydrogen production and hydrogen peroxide production equipment to improve the self-sufficient raw material supply system.

The first phase of the project not only covers modern production workshops, but also is equipped with key facilities such as water treatment, power supply, raw material storage, as well as necessary administrative office areas, with a total construction area of up to 60,000 square meters. It is expected that after the completion of the project, it will achieve an annual output value of about 1 billion yuan, contribute about 50 million yuan of tax revenue to the local finance, and directly create more than 400 jobs, which is of great significance to promote local economic development and improve the level of the new energy industry chain.Editor/Jiang Mingyue
