Recently, State Grid Gansu Electric Power Research Institute, in collaboration with Datang Gansu Power Generation Co., Ltd. New Energy Branch, successfully implemented a groundbreaking perovskite solar cell demonstration project for grid connected power generation in Wuwei, Gansu. The project adopts a unique semi transparent design, marking the birth of the first case in China where such technology is applied to an actual power generation system. This grid connection not only achieves stable supply of clean and renewable electricity to the power grid, but also has a profound impact and positive contribution to reducing the national energy burden, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and accelerating the transformation of China's energy system towards low-carbon direction.
Perovskite solar cells are solar cells that use perovskite type organic metal halide semiconductors as light absorbing materials. They have the advantages of high photoelectric conversion efficiency, low manufacturing cost, good weak light effect, and low temperature coefficient. They are the most promising new generation of solar cells. By finely adjusting the exposure process, patterns that optimize the light path, such as grids or lattices, are created on the battery film. These designs effectively enhance the capture and utilization of light, thereby improving the photoelectric conversion efficiency of the battery.
This research and application can stably supply clean and renewable electricity, which has a significant effect on reducing the national energy burden and greenhouse gas emissions. It will promote global climate governance and environmental protection, injecting new impetus into China's economic development. (This article is from the official website of Jiandao: www.seetao.com.
