Recently, China Steel Equipment Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Steel International, officially signed a contract with Xinfeng Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. for the Egypt 2 million ton hot-rolled coil general contracting project.

The project is located in Sokhna Industrial Park, Suez Economic Zone, Egypt. China Steel Equipment is responsible for building a new electric furnace short process steel plant for producing high-quality steel, mainly including 2 120 ton horizontal feeding electric furnaces, 2 120 ton dual station LF ladle refining furnaces, 2 2-machine 2-flow slab continuous casting machines, an annual production line of 2 million tons of 1380mm hot-rolled strip steel, and supporting public and auxiliary facilities.
