On September 14, 2024, the catenary system from the big slab to the Zhelimu section of the Jitong Railway successfully completed the thermal slip test, which laid a solid foundation for the next dynamic inspection work.
Thermal slip test, that is, under the condition that the catenary has been energized, through a specially designed test train, within the speed limit of 80km/h, between Daban Station and Zhelimu Station, in order to test the performance indicators of the catenary. The test covered 15 stations and all sections in between, covering a total distance of 343 kilometers, and was efficiently completed over three consecutive days.
Prior to this, in order to ensure that the key parameters of the catenary, such as wire height, pull-out value, insulation distance, etc., reached the optimal state, the third project department carefully organized more than 200 technical personnel to make meticulous segmentation adjustments to the catenary. After unremitting efforts, this section of the catenary successfully passed the rigorous test of the cold slip test on August 26, 2024, laying a solid foundation for the upcoming hot slip test.
On September 3, 2024, seven key traction substations such as Malaqin and Gaoluo successively completed the closing operation of the 27.5kV feeder switch, marking the success of the one-time power transmission of the catenary system and creating indispensable conditions for the smooth progress of the thermal slip test. This series of carefully planned and well-executed preparations contributed to the success of the thermal slip test.Editor/Jiang Mingyue
