On September 20th, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Water Resources successfully held a financing promotion symposium for water conservancy construction projects in Guangzhou. This conference not only demonstrated Guangdong's ambitious goals in the field of water conservancy infrastructure construction, but also opened a new chapter in the deep integration of water conservancy projects and financial capital.

The 51 water conservancy construction projects highlighted at the meeting have a total investment scale of 97.4 billion yuan and a financing demand of 39.2 billion yuan, fully reflecting Guangdong's great investment and long-term vision in water conservancy construction. Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhanjiang, Qingyuan, Chaozhou and other places, as representatives of key project promotion, have showcased their highlights and achievements in water conservancy construction, further stimulating the investment enthusiasm of the market.It is particularly worth mentioning that six projects, including the Phase II of Guangdong Water Resources Allocation Project around Beibu Gulf and the Ronggui Water Environment Comprehensive Improvement Project in Shunde District, Foshan City, successfully signed loan intention agreements with an intention amount of up to 11.1 billion yuan at the conference site. This is not only a recognition of the intrinsic value of the projects, but also a firm confidence in the prospects of Guangdong's water conservancy construction.

Guangdong's layout in water conservancy construction goes far beyond this. Around the major strategic needs of countries and regions such as the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, Guangdong has formulated the "Guangdong Province Water Network Construction Plan", with a total investment of over 1.3 trillion yuan, and a series of key projects are being vigorously promoted. Especially the more than 30 major water conservancy projects that have been prioritized recently, such as the Guangdong Water Resources Allocation Project Phase II around the Beibu Gulf, reinforcement of embankments to meet standards, treatment of small and medium-sized rivers, expansion of large reservoirs, and management of major river basins, with a total investment of over 400 billion yuan. The implementation of these projects will lay a solid foundation for ensuring water resources security, improving water ecological environment, and enhancing flood control and disaster reduction capabilities in Guangdong and even the entire South China region.In the future, the investment scale of water conservancy construction in Guangdong will continue to expand, and it is expected to exceed last year's level this year. The investment in subsequent years is expected to remain stable at over 100 billion yuan. In order to achieve this goal, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Water Resources will actively establish a two-way financing selection mechanism, and promote cooperation among government, banks, and enterprises on a wider and deeper scale through precise matching of projects and capital.
