On September 29, 2024, it was learned that the People's Government of Xiangshui County, Yancheng City, officially announced the social stability risk assessment of the Yancheng Xiangshui Fresh 200MW/400MWh Energy Storage Power Station project. The project is built by Xinghai New Energy Co., Ltd. in Xiangshui County, and is located in the seawall work area of Guandong Salt Field in Xiangshui County. The specific location is on the original Bapaitouwei plot, adjacent to the northwest side of Guandong New Materials Industrial Park, G228 Linhai Road to the east, and Xintai Road to the south, with a superior geographical location.

The highlight of the project lies in the use of advanced lithium iron phosphate battery technology, aiming to build an efficient and environmentally friendly new energy storage power station. The plan shows that the power station will be connected to the Qingxin substation at a voltage level of 220 kV, and a direct high-voltage transmission line will be built to ensure stable and efficient energy transmission. The total investment of the project is as high as 668.58 million yuan, marking a solid step taken by Xiangshui County in promoting energy structure optimization and upgrading, and promoting green and low-carbon development.
