Guangxi Energy Group, a subsidiary of Guangtou Group, has made significant breakthroughs in the field of offshore wind power in Fangchenggang City. Its Fangchenggang offshore wind power demonstration project, Site A, has successfully achieved full capacity grid connected power generation, marking the acceleration of Guangxi's first benchmark offshore wind power project towards a new era of comprehensive grid connection. Since the foundation was laid at the end of June 2023, this section has efficiently completed the construction of 49 wind turbines with a total capacity of 416.5MW in just over a year, and achieved the goal of full capacity grid connection more than two months ahead of schedule, creating multiple glorious records of "Guangxi's first".

This achievement not only demonstrates the speed and quality of Guangxi's development in the field of clean energy, but also heralds a new chapter in the green transformation of energy structure. After the first section is put into operation, it is expected that the annual power generation will approach 1.2 billion kilowatt hours, which is equivalent to reducing 360000 tons of standard coal consumption and 960000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, contributing strong power to Guangxi's environmental protection and sustainable development.

As the core part of the Fangchenggang offshore wind power demonstration project, Site A has a total planned installed capacity of 700000 kilowatts, covering 83 high-efficiency wind turbines, and supporting the construction of advanced offshore boosting stations and onshore centralized control centers, which will be implemented in two phases. The total installed capacity of the entire project is expected to reach 1.8 million kilowatts, with a total investment of up to 24.5 billion yuan. After it is fully put into operation, the annual power generation will exceed 5 billion kilowatt hours, which is enough to meet the annual electricity demand of 5 million households. The annual coal savings can reach 1.5 million tons, which has profound significance for optimizing the energy structure and promoting green development of the economy and society.
