On October 16, 2024, Xilingol took over the green power supply project of Baochang Industrial Park in the Industrial Development Zone and officially kicked off construction in Taipusi Banner, holding a grand groundbreaking ceremony. The project was built by Tianrun New Energy Co., Ltd. of Taipusi Banner, Goldwind Technology Group, with an investment of about 500 million yuan, and is located in Baochang Town and Qianjingou Town of Taipusi Banner.

The project has a grand scale, covering 100MW wind power facilities and 20MW/80MWh energy storage systems. It is planned to install 13 wind turbines and build a 110kV substation, collection lines, and on-site and off-site roads. Expected to be completed and put into operation in June 2025, it will provide approximately 300 million kilowatt hours of low-cost green electricity annually to 12 enterprises in Baochang Park, including Jingcheng Cable, Kaida Potato, Huahui Rubber, Qingdao Yueshi, and Junrui Technology. The annual savings of standard coal can reach 1.06 million tons, and the emissions of CO ₂, SO ₂, and nitrogen oxides will be significantly reduced to 850000 tons, 21000 tons, and 12000 tons, respectively.

As one of the first industrial park green power supply projects launched in the autonomous region, the Baochang Industrial Park Green Power Supply Project actively responds to the strategic orientation of local consumption of green power and on-site conversion of resources by the alliance committee and administrative office, and is a leading demonstration for exploring the deep integration and development of green power and high-quality industries. The implementation of this project not only helps enterprises in the park achieve green and low-carbon transformation and high-quality development, but also has profound significance in promoting the achievement of the region's dual carbon goals.

As an important national wind power base and Class I high-quality wind and solar resource area, Ximeng has the largest scale of new energy grid connected installed capacity in the region, reaching 19.68 million kilowatts. In recent years, Ximeng has deeply implemented the policy guidance of the autonomous region on the high-quality development of wind and photovoltaic new energy industry, using new energy+as the engine, accelerating the promotion of green power supply projects in the park, and building a coupled development platform between green power and advanced industries. As of now, the whole league has approved 5 green power supply projects in the park, of which 2 are planned to start construction within the year, and the remaining 3 are actively promoting relevant procedures. After all are completed, the annual green power supply will reach about 2 billion kilowatt hours, providing cleaner, more efficient, and low-cost energy solutions for park enterprises and leading the region to find a new path of high-quality development relying on park green power substitution.
