On December 18, 2024, the world's leading semiconductor company Infineon and renowned lithium battery manufacturer EVE Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "EVE Energy") officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation. This collaboration aims to jointly provide a comprehensive Battery Management System (BMS) solution for the automotive market to meet the growing demand for electric vehicles.
Chip Solution
According to the memorandum of cooperation, Infineon will provide a complete set of chip solutions for EVE Energy's battery management system, covering multiple aspects such as microcontroller units (MCUs), battery balancing and monitoring ICs, power management ICs, drivers, MOSFETs, CAN, and sensor products. These advanced solutions will significantly enhance the safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of battery management systems, providing more accurate and efficient monitoring, protection, and optimization of battery performance for electric vehicles.
Battery Management System Solution
Infineon's battery management system solution includes two types: wired and wireless:
The wired BMS solution is based on AURIX PMIC、 Products such as balancing and monitoring IC, among which TLE9012DQU and TLE9015DQU provide optimized cell monitoring and balancing solutions, suitable for various industrial, consumer, and automotive battery applications, and meet ASIL-D safety requirements.
The wireless BMS solution utilizes Infineon's latest CWY89829 low-power chip to create an interconnected mesh network, achieving maximum node connection speed while maintaining sensor efficiency. In addition, Infineon also offers reliable LV MOSFET and EiceDRIVE solutions, including 2ED2410 and 2ED4820 products designed specifically for future applications such as 24V/48V BMS main switch electrification.
The cooperation between Infineon and EVE Energy will fully leverage their advantages in semiconductor technology and battery management systems, and jointly promote innovation and development in the electric vehicle industry. In the future, both sides will continue to deepen cooperation and jointly bring more advanced battery management system solutions to the market, helping the sustained prosperity of the electric vehicle industry.(This article is from the official website of Jian Dao www.seetao.com.
