Chinese automaker BYD held a new car launch event in Jakarta, Indonesia on the 22nd, and its high-end new energy vehicle brand Tengshi officially entered the Indonesian market.

In his speech, Liu Xueliang, General Manager of BYD's Asia Pacific Automotive Sales Division, said, "Today, we officially introduce the Tengshi brand to Indonesia. We promise to continue to bring the best models, technologies, and products to Indonesian consumers, promote the rapid popularization of new energy vehicles in Indonesia, and work together to create a more technological and green future

He stated that the Tengshi is a wholly-owned brand under BYD, and the Tengshi D9, as the brand's first high-end MPV model, has sold over 300000 units since its release in May 2022, with customer satisfaction and resale value ranking among the top in the market.
