Recently, the Fujian Provincial Development and Reform Commission officially approved the wind power hydrogen production technology verification platform project of the Fujian Green Hydrogen Pilot Base, marking an important step for the province in the development of the hydrogen energy industry. The project is led by Fujian Hydrogen Energy Industry Development Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 136 million yuan, aiming to promote the research and development and application of hydrogen energy technology and accelerate the layout and development of the hydrogen energy industry.

The planned construction scale of the project is 20 megawatts, and two wind turbines with a power of 10 megawatts each will be installed. These wind turbines will use natural wind energy to convert into electrical energy, providing green and clean energy for the subsequent hydrogen production process. The generated electricity will first be connected to the 35 kV switch station through a 35 kV collector line.

In terms of power distribution, the project will follow the principle of priority, that is, the electricity generated by wind power generation will be used in the pilot verification of wind power hydrogen production technology. This link is crucial. It can not only verify the feasibility and efficiency of wind power hydrogen production technology, but also provide valuable data support and experience accumulation for subsequent industrial applications.

While ensuring the needs of pilot verification, if there is surplus electricity generated by wind power generation, the electricity will be transmitted to the oil field substation through a 35 kV line through the switch station to access the grid, or consumed by related enterprises under Fujian Energy Chemical Group. Such a design not only ensures the effective use of electricity, but also improves the economy and flexibility of the entire project.

In general, the approval and implementation of the wind power hydrogen production technology verification platform project of Fujian Green Hydrogen Pilot Base is of great significance to promoting the development of the hydrogen energy industry in Fujian Province and even the whole country. It not only helps to improve the research and development and application level of wind power hydrogen production technology, but also provides strong support for the rapid development of the hydrogen energy industry.
