At around 9:00 am on February 11th, with a long whistle, a train loaded with car parts, mechanical equipment, daily necessities and other goods slowly departed from the Yangluo Port freight yard and headed westward through Alashankou to Hamburg and Duisburg, Germany. This is the first operation of Yangluo Port as the second departure station of the China Europe freight train (Wuhan), which will add new momentum to Hubei's deep integration into the domestic and international dual circulation.
The starting station of this China Europe freight train (Wuhan) is located at the Yangluo Port Iron and Steel Intermodal Transport Phase I Demonstration Base, connecting with Xianglushan Station. It has a container yard, dismantling and assembling warehouse, etc., which can achieve seamless connection between the railway and Yangluo Port Area. The base is also equipped with the construction of the Hubei Freight Collection Center for China Europe freight trains, which integrates multiple functions such as cargo distribution, intelligent warehousing, one-stop services, and multimodal transportation. This will significantly enhance the cargo collection capacity of Yangluo Port.
Li Wei, the chief dispatcher of Hubei Port Group Operation and Dispatch Center, said that after Wujiashan Station, Yangluo Port has become the second starting station of the China Europe freight train (Wuhan). In the future, the operation network of the China Europe freight train will be further optimized to reduce comprehensive logistics costs and improve the operational efficiency of the China Europe freight train.
According to statistics, as of February 9, 2025, the China Europe freight train (Wuhan) has operated a total of 5072 trains, providing strong support for the high-level opening-up of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and Asia Europe trade exchanges.(This article is from the official website of Jian Dao www.seetao.com.
