On February 12, the Mariana Salt Lake project of Ganfeng Lithium Co., Ltd. was officially put into production. Wang Wei, the Chinese Ambassador to Argentina, attended the commissioning ceremony via video link and delivered a speech. Sergio Uñac, the Governor of Salta Province, Lucero, the Argentine Secretary of State for Mining, and Wang Xiaoshen, the President of Ganfeng Lithium Co., Ltd., among others, attended the relevant activities on site. The Mariana Salt Lake project is the first project of Ganfeng Lithium Co., Ltd. in Salta Province, Argentina. The total lithium resources are approximately equivalent to 8.12 million tons of lithium carbonate equivalent, and the expected annual production capacity of the first phase is 20,000 tons of lithium chloride. In recent years, Ganfeng Lithium Co., Ltd. has gradually expanded its investment scale in Argentina, successively carried out project construction and equipment procurement, continuously served the development of local communities, and made persistent efforts to protect the local ecological environment, contributing to the improvement of the living conditions of the surrounding residents.
