The Ivovik wind power project is currently the largest wind farm in Bosnia and Herzegovina in terms of single unit capacity and total installed capacity, with a total installed capacity of 84 megawatts. The project will install a total of 20 domestically produced 4.2MW wind turbine units in China, construct a 110 kV substation and a 35 kV collection line in four countries, and support the construction of a 1.65-km 110 kV transmission line to connect to the Bosnia and Herzegovina State Grid. Since the first unit was connected to the grid on October 1, 2024, the project has been running safely and stably for 163 consecutive days.
After the project is put into operation, it is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 240000 tons per year, effectively improve the surrounding environment, assist in local ecological construction, promote the optimization and upgrading of energy structure, drive the development of related industries, and promote local employment, injecting new vitality into the economic and social development of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In the face of extreme weather conditions, the project team adheres to the concept of refined management, efficiently handles various equipment defect elimination issues, and ensures the compatibility between wind turbines and the power grid. The team also urged the operation and maintenance unit to strengthen equipment inspection and patrol work, establish and improve daily, weekly, and monthly inspection checklists, and ensure the safe and reliable operation of all wind turbines.
The Ivovik project will continue to promote various work with high standards and strict requirements, fully leverage the management functions of the owner unit, closely cooperate with the operation and maintenance unit and the power purchaser, and work together to promote the stable operation of the project. The team will continue to optimize operational management and improve technological capabilities, providing Bosnia and Herzegovina with a more stable and efficient supply of clean energy, and supporting Bosnia and Herzegovina's sustainable development.
