A Chinese enterprise signs a contract for a coal-to-gas project in Southeast Asia

Recently, Anhui Keda Clean Energy Co., Ltd. has reached a cooperation with Indonesia Qili Alumina Co., Ltd. and signed an EPC project for the supporting coal gas station engineering of an alumina production capacity of 2 million tons per year. It will construct four sets of 45,000 Nm³/h circulating fluidized bed gasification systems for the latter.

The construction and installation work at the project site will be fully responsible for by Keda's PT Engineering Company in Indonesia. This is the first project for the engineering company to carry out local construction, operation and maintenance, and also the first project directly signed with an overseas enterprise.

Qili Aluminum Industry Group is the parent company of Indonesia Qili Alumina Co., Ltd., mainly engaged in the production and processing of aluminum products. It was listed in Malaysia in 1993 and is one of the largest integrated aluminum companies in Southeast Asia. Up to now, it has cumulatively constructed 22 sets of coal gasification units in Indonesia, ranking first in the Indonesian market in terms of quantity. The furnace types range from 40,000 Nm³/h to 60,000 Nm³/h. It has undertaken the coal gasification supporting projects for the newly-built alumina plants in Indonesia of leading enterprises such as Nanshan Group, Aluminum Corporation of China (Chinalco), and Jinjiang Group.
